Why are you so obsessed with England? Do you live there? Besides I lived there for 3yrs and I'd have to say that they do wear the cassocks in public. Sorry.

Did you know CAtholic priests in the Ukraine disappeared on a regular basis after the Russian Revolution, but the Orthodox churches sucked up to the government and became the "official" church of the state?

Big deal. Even if it's still on their law books, it certainly isn't enforced these days.
Why not agitate to get it revoked? And while you're at it, you can work on getting some USofA laws revoked as well.
Like the one in Missouri that makes it illegal for a woman to drive a car unless she has a man walking in front of her with a red lantern to warn all comers.
Or the one in California which makes it illegal for a Mexican to sit on the base of a statue of an American hero?
Or the one in Texas that makes it illegal to drive pigs down a city street? And to think for all these years the cops have been the chief violators of this law. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Except that they are nowadays. England has hundreds of laws that aren't practiced such as:
All Males over the age of 14 must do 2 or so hours of Longbow practice a week with the Clergy (It is a law).

Carl, perhaps there is an archaic law still on the books, which is no longer observed. Check it out. It does not sound at all like today's England.

Satan will continue to persecute the Catholic Church of Christ.
We even see the Scots overly concerned with offending the Muslims:

This does not surprise me at all. There was a LOT of persecution of the Catholic Church at the time of the "Reformation".
