How old was your kitten when she was taken from her mama?? If she was around 6 weeks old or younger its because they are looking for their mom. They miss their moms too. Thats their only was of communicating. Give her time and alot of attention, and she will get used to her new owner.

If you just got her, she will probably meow alot for a day or so till she gets used to her new home. Make sure she has plenty of food, water and attention and a cozy place to sleep and hide out and she should be fine.

My cat meows and follows me around until I sit down, then she jumps up into my lap and either stays there or sits next to me. Maybe your kitten just wants to sleep near you.

If you got her very recently, she probably wants her mama and littermates. Give her some time to adjust. In the meantime, distract her with toys and give her plenty of attention!

Our new kitten likes to chase her fur mouse across the hardwood floor until she's pooped out. Then she curls up in someone's lap and goes to sleep. ;-)

It's probably that she's looking for her mom and siblings and not quite used to having just human companionship. Another possibility is that she's hungry. Our cat will follow us around meowing until we fill her bowl for her.

She probably misses her mom. I would seriously suggest getting her another kitten. She is probably quite lonely.

Company. She's lonely. Two kittens are better than one.
