what should i do while babysitting?

i am babysitting an 8 yr old, 5 and 2 year old, i am also 12 what can i do??

Uhm. Well. First of all, you probably shouldn't be doing much else while babysitting. It's best to focus on the kids to avoid having to clean up messes that could've been prevented.

Check with their parents first to see what level of "messiness" they'll tolerate - making playdoh can be fun, but you run the risk of getting it on their carpet, etc.
Also, different kids have different tastes. The kids that I babysit can't sit still for long enough to read a book, and they prefer more hands on stuff: coloring, little kid science (the classic baking soda + vinegar is good. Try putting baking soda in a balloon, and vinegar in a bottle and then when you tip the balloon to pour the baking soda into the bottle, the gas that's produced will blow the balloon up. It's fun.) Letting the 8 year old "take control" might also be fun. But make sure to supervise them while he's doing so.

And if their parents let you, bring fingerpaints =)

Well for the 5 & 8 yr old you can draw, colour, finger-paint, watch a dvd, do a sing-song, play in the backyard (hide & seek) - if you can use the stove, make some cupcakes - the 2 yr old will have fun just doing what the other kids are doing (but will be a bit messier), just make sure you keep sharp and small objects away from him/her.

Don't worry, I think you'll be busy enough with three kids. Maybe bring over some home made play dough, or make it with the 8 year old and let the younger ones play with it.
