Here is a passage from Newsweek article
"Muslim American advocates have critiqued the press coverage of the Pew study, saying it focused too much on the bad news and not enough on the good. The bad news, however, bears repeating: 26 percent of Muslims age 18 to 29 believe that suicide bombing can be justified. Thirty-eight percent of that group believe that Arabs did not carry out the 9/11 attacks. These data, combined with the rising religious conservatism of young Muslim Americans, have led some experts to argue that differences between Europe and America have been overblown, that affluence and education do not inoculate a society against radicalization. "This idea that all those who are middle class are exempted from extremism has always been false," says Geneive Abdo, author of "Mecca and Main Street." "The leadership of the extremist movements have always been highly educated Muslims."

I am tired of Liberals and Muslims saying America kills innocent iraqis. Read the newspaper for once. The Sunni Muslims kill the Shia Muslims and the Shia Muslims kill the Sunni Muslims in Iraq.

You are like the air.
...or a sandwich bag.
The news is too often bad. It has a negative effect on society overall.
A person coming to this country from another does not automatically make them Apple Pie. Nor is a person born here automatically Apple Pie.
Perhaps all who side with the negative Middle East mentality should be dubbed, "wind-ups". Along with those who go out with a big bang. Many Westerners have insulted the cultures and traditions of the ME or Muslims throughout history, this does not mean that we are all interested in seeing how far we can go to offend...how far up to the line. It seems as though it is interperated that that IS the case. As I see Muslims living in America siding with anti-American rhetoric, expansionist Islamic policy etc... all due to a belief that this is all a personal attack from America and the West against Islam and Muslims in general...false.
The real reality is:
Anyone who hates America is being successfully wound up by people who I chose to call the puppet masters. Naturally the weakest of minds in this world think that those ideologies which insist to enslave, subjugate, control, and drive people like swine are the ideologies to defend with all available means, including..."transparent stupidity".
The Ideologies of America and the west are vastly superior and would be even more so without the greater than .26 of wind ups, the corrupt, the greedy, and the control freaks (religious mind control seekers included). Our model is the best in the world and is worth keeping.
Wind ups are not only Muslim. They come from all parts of the world to enjoy to privileges of America and to Hate America for it.
About the well educated...Watch the movie called "Platoon" They talk about the rich and what they do (I've decided that rich implies a good education in this case). Just because a person (or group of people is well educated) does not mean that they govern or seek to enslave peoples in a most responsible and non-oppressive manner.
Religious Brain Wash...Keep it to yourselves. WE will remain without interest in the same.
I believe that a person should reserve the right to think America does wrongful things and still be called patriotic or friend of America. I think that people who deep down inside do not love this country should be sent home.

You cannot judge people's actions and blame the source. If your child was a disfunctonal individial who acted like an angel in front of you , but the second he stepped out of your home , he was doing everything bad under the sun. Should we blame the kid or the parents? Be brave and look into the religion for yourselfd and don't wait until your ear get a load of info from bad sources tv, ignorant people etc.... look into the religion yourself and then you have the right to speak about it.
I would advise you to go to thedeenshow.com and let me know what you think. The religion that everybody who is outsifde the folds of islam want to comment bad about don't realize that the people who are converts found peace etc......
I know that god created each indivdual with a need to find him and when people convert to islam there is a peace that god soothes your heart with.

I think if it was reported that 26% of all christians believed that bombing abortion clinics is justified, you would see a hugely different story being told by the media. Suddenly, 26% would no longer be downplayed as a small number. They wouldn't be talking about "the majority of christians are peaceful". They would be talking about the fact that 26% is a HUGE number of people, and there would be an OUTRAGE toward christians in this country. But we don't see that with the muslims in this poll. We see the media downplaying the size of 26%, and saying that the poll shows "most muslims are peaceful". It's a double standard.
The fact is, 26% is a huge number of muslims. We're talking about millions of people. Worldwide, that number is even bigger. Statistically, we're looking at a significant problem with Islam. It is NOT the religion of peace.

That 74% of American Muslims do not think 9/11 was justified is a good thing after the policy blunders in the Middle East since Bush #1 in Iraq and Reagan in Afghanistan.

i think of if it substitute into stated that 26% of all christians believed that bombing abortion clinics is justified, you will possibly see a extremely diverse tale being instructed by the media. without notice, 26% might no longer be downplayed as a small extensive type. they might not be speaking approximately "the final public of christians are non violent". they could be speaking concerning the reality that 26% is a huge form of persons, and there could be an OUTRAGE in direction of christians in this united states. yet we don't see that with the muslims in this ballot. We see the media downplaying the size of 26%, and asserting that the ballot shows "maximum muslims are non violent". that's a double standard. in fact, 26% is a huge form of muslims. we are speaking approximately thousands and thousands of persons. international, that extensive type is even larger. Statistically, we are watching an significant issue with Islam. that's not the religion of peace.

The main drive behind 911 was due to this:
""Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.
--60 Minutes (5/12/96)""
Those children were dying because Saddam had weapons we helped him obtain! Someone, whether UBL or another, was going to take action to revenge/stop it eventually. Injustice is the cause of terrorism.

They'll love living under the Talliban or some such crap..see if they would kill themself for that crap.
Most of them don't even follow Islam and would be put out by living under a Islamic Gov.
They would have to give up lot of the thinks they love so much. ie.music dancing and the fashion show would be over..No more Bling.no more Beer.
killing civlians is not Islam. Don't care what Osama and some bassackwards Cleric says.

I think some of the other posters make very good points about the skewying of the results to favor hating the American Muslim , and the fact that the American Muslim has reason to hate Americans.
I still think the our USA Government knew to much about it to have not have known. I think they either did it , allowed it to happen , or actively helped , to achieve their own agenda.
What happened wasn't right.
I highly respect the ones who attempted to take back the airplane and succeeded in forcing it to crash short of its goal. I am saddened by all that died that day. I will now give a moment of silence in remembrance of those lives lost and courage shown.

Sure you could look at 9/11 as a wake up call for the US. However I don't believe that it was right to do it with violence. Violence never has solved anything and to hear that 26 percent of American Muslims believe that is was justified is very disheartening. "Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

I think that Newsweek did not contact every single muslim in America and it is 26 percent of it's sampling pool which will be a much smaller number than all the muslims in America.
I don't bother with magazines that wish to do nothing but stir up trouble where there is none.
