Can anyone explain how to restore page size in Microsoft Word?

For some reason when I go to start a new document the page size is all to pot. I call call up previous documents and the pages are normal but as soon as I start a new page the document seems to fill up the whole screen so I can't actually see the page any more. Print preview shows everything but when I go back to normal then some of it's disappeared. I've spent nearly an hour and a half going through everything I can find to do with page resizing and I can't fix the problem. Can anyone help, please??!! Trying to make posters for a fundraiser and it's all gone wrong! Thank you.

Plus - when I go into page resize to make sure it's A4 (it's jumping to letter size for some reason) then it says the right margin has to be altered for a reason given but no matter what number I put it too it doesn't allow the alteration to be applied.

Your problem has to do with the default template (normal.dot) that Word loads when a blank page is started. Word is supposed to ask, when you quit, if you wish to save changes to this form, but I think that can be turned off as well. Go into Help and look for Changing Normal.dot.

You are using a nOrmal View. Use a print view.
