Who knows, he has been in a position to win several times this year and has got caught up in a mess or the engine has blown up. So it is possible if they can hold the engines together. I think next year he will win a couple races if not more. Tony and he will have to get used to the new digs and proceedures, but I think he will have a better chance of winning than Tony Stewart or Denny Hamlin.

You can't help but to feel bad for him, I mean he has had great runs all year long, he just hasn't had the finishes to show for it. I mean he should have at least 3 wins by now, Dale Jr has been consistant pretty much all year long, but he'll have a problem at the end of the race. But now that he is not in the chase he can still turn a negative into a positive, Tony Stewert did that very thing last year, failed to make the chase, but he won 3 races,

I really thought he would win last night. He worked his way right up to the front. I think he just might pull one off this year. I'll be only watching 4 more races though. 6 of he last 10 race tracks should be closed down and build condos on the site. There is a chance I wouldn't feel that way if there wa not the asinine chase but there is so I'll just have to go hunting. DARN!!

SInce he no longer has to worry about a points title, I see Jr running all out balls to the wall for the last ten races. I mean career wise he's got wins at the next 10 tracks(5 at Dega, 2 at Phoenix, and 1 at Dover, Texas) so I can see him doing what Smoke did last year.

He has the ability to win, but it seems like he doesn't have the equipment. How many times has he had engine problems of some sort, but Truex hasn't? I certainly hope he does better next year in the #81. Go Jr.

Why in the world has been counted out, he still can have a chance to win, cut him a brak he still can have a chance his car overcame major obstacles last night if it happens again under better conditions what would stop him from winning. He may not be in the chase but that should not stop him from racing people they need like 20 or more other people on the track to make it exciting.

Now that he is not in the chase, he can concentrate on winning some races...I think he will have a great 2008, not sure if he'll win the championship his first yr at HMS but it sure would be nice.. I don't care what his number willbe next yr 81 is fine with me.. I'm with him all the way....Go Dale Jr Go....

from a gordon fan, I do think he will win a race year, look at Tony Stewart last year he won 3 races in the chase. I think he will drive #81 car next year for Hendrick Motorsports.

I really think the head of DEI doesn't want him to win now that he's leaving. Five blown engines and suddenly Truex comes to the fore- front working for the same team, same engines no way and I'm not putting down Truex's driving skills.
JR. will do his best to get some wins this year and next year he'll be with a team that fully supports all its drivers and he will be winning. We know Theressa won't give up the #8 so we'll wait and see his new number.

Though I think a number of his fans live in an alternate reality brought on by the death of his dad, I really like Junior.

One of the things I like about him is that he'll run his *** off the rest of this year, leaving the possibility of a win. I sure hope he does.

Next year will give him a fresh start with one of the best teams in NASCAR. I honestly think a Cup title is within reach for him.

Junior is not is dad (he'll be the first to tell you that), but he's a better driver than the haters give him credit for.
