My mom had braces for 3 years and the Western Dental took out my mom's two adult teeth on top. Then her teeth went inwards, and now she thinks that no one will be able to see her teeth. Ever since her braces, she has been very depressed. I don't know how I can help her... Any suggestions?

She is very self-conscious about the way she looks, sometimes she tells me that she doesn't want to get out of the house. I think that she has OCD. =[

How can we help her?

Oh. Btw, She just got out of a really bad divorce, think this maybe another factor that contributes to her "problem."

she may need to have the problem looked at again, just because she had braces doesn't mean the results are permanent. She may need to do it again, but if so that's what she has to do. It isn't that bad of a thing.

she's depressed for other reasons and probably needs help - it probably has nothing to do with the dental thing at all.
