We have tests every fortnight sundays. The non test weeks i don't even touch the books.I'll do anything besides studying. The week seems to fly off. And the next week i'll open the books on friday and the tension is too high to control then. I've got 6 huge subjects. Thanks god for some brains he's given to me that i pass but i know that i can do really well. During every test i'll decide that this time i'll definitely study from the beginning but something or the else removes my determination. I feel like hitting myself hard. I've tried so many methods. What should i do?

It's just an average case of immaturity. I'm pretty sure everyone goes through this stage. I know I did. Just hope one day soon you wake up and realize school is not a joke and the joke will be on you when you flunk out and are only making $20,000 a year next to 16 years who are working through school. -One day soon before it's too late.

Best of luck.

It take 21 days to create a new habit, so start small take it in little steps. Select a time of day to study for a half hour to start.
Spend 15 min on one subject then, 15 on another. It may not sound like much but the effect will be to create a habit of study. Once you get the habit created and set, it will become easier. It's how I got over a simular "hump".

Procrastination, it's hard to over come, but it can be done. Set yourself a schedule for study and stick to it, even if you only read a chapter per day until it becomes a study habit. You should make this a life long commitment and when your done with school you can fill that space with self improvement or other reading time. We are always learning and growing.

I think it happens to all.
I also feel the same regarding to my studies.
I have tried these to some extent, you may also give them a try.
Don't spend more time in trivial things.
Try to read one or two topics daily. This will help you reduce your burden on the previous day of the test.

I have had the same problem...with study habits...or when I have to do something...but don't want to....I kinda of trick myself or reward myself into doing...or do things with it to make it more pleasant....found ways to study in the library....because I could take breaks...or off and on listen to music or watch t.v....finding a place to study is part of it....or when you have to do something...promise yourself something...and make sure you do what you say you will do for yourself...as if your mind is a big baby...and you have to give it candy or something sweet for it to do what you want....

May I suggest, that when time says it's time to study, put asside the distractions and get to it.

I had thoughts like that in school, and I think thats why, I didn't do to well in some subjects.

hi...i had this feeling before AND ITS REALLY BAD ...you may feel like you cant concentrate..feel like you are lost...because you are not well prepared yet to start your exams...if you feel much stress go do something you like for a while...then come and write a program for your study...every subject has its private time..with this you will feel more trust ...and when you study try to study loudly so your mind wont go here or there.......good luck

what should you do?

Simple: start studying. start concentrating. start digesting what you have studied.

most importantly, yes I agree, only you youself can motivate you.

cast away your lethargic spirit! Star moving. And start now!!!!
