Honey one thing is sure it ain`t your fault. Usually when relationshps end there are faults on both sides of the marriage but unless I knew more about your parents I could not say. Probably neither of them will want to take the blame but as you go through life you will pick up things that are said and get more insight as to what went on between them Yes get it off your chest you can`t help but think about him and what if and these questions will probably remain with you for ever but no matter who is to blame DON`T BLAME YOU you were just a child then. Take care xx

First of all, it was definitely not your fault! There were obviously problems between your parents but that has nothing to do with you!

Maybe you should try talking about your feelings with your older siblings. I am in a somewhat similar situation and I've found my brother to be the most useful person to talk to about the situation when I need to "vent". We are 2 years apart.

If you don't know why he hasn't been around, then I would try and find him and ask him. Remember there is your mothers side, your fathers side, and the whole truth. You need to ask both, and then maybe you will find out the whole truth. My ex daughter in law made it impossible for us to see my granddaughter, and she knew that in order to have a relationship with her dad she would have to 18 to do it, because her mom would not let it happen. They now talk at least once a week.

Ummm.... there's no question here. But yeah, this does seem to be just a vent.

You might want to consider looking around online. There are probably message boards where you could talk to people in similar situations.
