We live together, but I can't leave until 3 weeks when my car will get shipped back home. I don't know anybody here and I also don't have any family here. But I have 3 weeks to wait until I can get out of here. How can I keep my sanity?

keep focused about what your goals are until your car arrives. plan, plan, plan. try not to feed into any of his comments - good luck and stay strong

Find a few really good, long books and sit and read, you will get so absorbed in your books the time will fly.
Find a local shopping centre and imagine you have just won the lottery and pick what you would buy, this makes days fly.
Start writting a novel, choose your characters, place, setting and let your imagination run.
Clean like you have never cleaned before, scrub everything three times over, this makes the day go.
Find a local church or charity and lend them a hand.
Hire some great DVD's and watch them over again until you know them by heart.
Introduce yourself to an old persons home and ask if you could visit with the elderly each day.

Does he know you are leaving? Maybe, this is a time to be honest with him and make peace with him. If this will be a dangerous thing to do then maybe you should leave now. The unfortunate thing is that you have moved in with your boyfriend, you have no place to go, and you don't know anyone. You've put yourself in quite a bind haven't you? Next time, don't do this. For now, be honest, tough it out, and start taking care of yourself. Otherwise, things will continue to go downhill for you.
Lastly, contact the place that is shipping your car. Is there anyway you can make arrangements now and/or store the car someplace else? If so, get that done and go home.

I have a real hard time believing that you are glued to the floor because of a car.... there must be a hotel or motel somewhere near you, or places you can visit. Just do your best to stay out of each others paths and do as little talking to each other as possible.

Preoccupy yourself for that time; prolong your errans, go to the gym, do volunteer work at a homeless shelter, make friends with your neighbors and shop or do something with him, shop, or get on a plane and go home early and wait for your car there.

The better way is to approach the police for rescueing you from your boy friend and return to your parents immidiately. Do not have 2nd thought or hesitation in calling police for your help. You can discuss with police for shipping your car back to home and they will do difinite help for all your comforts.

Get out of the house as much as possible when he is around. Go on walks, to the store etc.

Try to hang out with friends most of the time and tell your friends that you need to hang out with them and use excuses to be away from him until you can get you car
