NOPE. Rich is wrong. Hamsters are nocturnal. And eat when they want. You must have the food readily available to them at all times. Even if you don't do this she will eat when you feed her and then hide food for later. This can cause a mold to grow in her cage that can eventually make her ill. Especially if she eats the moldy food. Hamsters like to sleep during the day, and play at night. You can take her out for short periods when you get home from school. She will play with you or run around but will tire quickly, remember she has been up all night, just put her back in her cage to let her nap. This behavior is instinctual and you should not attempt to change it. If you play with her at night you will have a longer play time. However, hamsters tend to like the wee hours of the night to do their running around so you may not be able to do this.

You must leave her to wake up naturally at her own time or you could make her ill. Hamsters are nocternal for a reason. In the wild they only went looking for food at night so they were less likely to be attacked. Also hamsters have poor eyesight, and bright day light can harm their delicate eyes further. Leave her to wake up at 7 in the evening.

Don't even try. Hamsters are naturally nocturnal. It is not even called natural if she wakes up at 7 in the morning because you woke her up.

Please leave her to sleep all day and awake all night because I heard that if you keep on waking up your hamsters during the day, their lifespan will shorten.

Rich is right about conditioning them via feeding times. The thing is, you have to be consistent, and if your schedule changes, it will take a while to change the hamster's schedule.

you could keep her in a room and have the light off during the day, and keep it on at night...this should get her awake during the day (even tho she will think its night) and sleeping at night
