If so is it by choice or because no covens are around?

I'm A Solitary because there's no quality covens around that I am aware of. I've met a few eclectic groups over the years, but none of them were a good fit for me. Traditional covens are frequently very low key, so there may be one around that I am not aware of, and either they are not aware of me or they feel I'm not a good fit for them.

I am a solitary witch (but not Wiccan) by choice. I need to follow my own path. I have many Wiccan and witch friends, both in covens and solitary. Coven life is just not my cup of tea. I have my own rituals but do celebrate with others on Sabats.

I'm a solitary Pagan. No it is not because of a lack of covens. It was the way I choose for myself. My mother was a coven member as was my grandmother and my father father was a priest. But my sister and I both solitary.

I'm not Wiccan, I'm Pagan. I'm pretty much solitary though we have a network of Pagan friends with whom we socialize and celebrate the sabbats. I've been involved with coven-like groups and have found that one person always wants to be in charge and tell everyone else what to do.... I don't like being told what to do. I've avoided any official group like that since.

Yes. By choice, though I don't know of any covens in my area. I don't like covens, they're too restrictive.

As you probably know Wicca is simply another name for witchcraft. This tries to use magic to control the behaviour of nature &/or people. Its effectiveness is dependent upon the use of demonic power. Before you get more involved in the occult I suggest you read 'From Witchcraft to Christ' by Doreen Irvine (Amazon.com).
