Come on with Johnson and Gordon being on the pole and in second they had the Cars to beat, but I wish it could have been diffrent for Dale Jr. I have alot of respect for him it took alot for him to walk away from the enterpise his Daddy built.

I was shocked at that Jr. was doing so well, and he and Tony were having a great battle for second, then he blows another engine. I wasn't happy that Johnson won again, pleased that Smoke finished second though. The Chase should be interesting to say the least. It did make me laugh that on ESPN News, in the "Breaking News" box in the bottom right hand of the screen, it said "Earnhardt eliminated from Chase" instead of who won.
Cheers!

I like JR but you should look at Harvick too..the ABC cast was foccusing on JR getting into the chase and not Harvick lol Just fyi.. Anyways the race ended as I thought...alot of suspence with Jr maybe making it and not too many wrecks. I personaly wish they wouldnt use the COT cars...Its like you can predict what will happen..there boring.

No, Hendrick invested a lot of money in the COT and going into the season they knew what they were getting into. Jr had a DEI engine which gave him a huge chance that the engine would blow. Hendrick is a wise man, I just cannot understand why he is letting Jr's cousin Tony Eury Jr come with him as crew chief...major mistake. That is like hiring a first class batter in baseball and telling him he has to bat with a plastic bat.

WE ALL LOVE JR. AND WHAT TERESA IS DOING IS JUST WRONG!!! BUT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU NEVER COUNTED ON BUSCH OR HARVICK MAKING IT?? DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF THE POINT STANDINGS?? ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS FINISH 36TH OR BETTER FOR BUSCH AND 32ND OR BETTER FOR HARVICK, THAT WAS A CAKE WALK FOR BOTH OF THEM!!!!! ESPECIALLY HARVICK WHO DID REALLY WELL THERE LAST YEAR IN THE BUSCH AND CUP RACES!!! JR. WOULD HAVE HAD TO LEAD THE MOST LAPS FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE RACE AND COME IN 1ST. TO MAKE IT IN TO THE CHASE!!! I LIKE JR. I WAS A FAN OF HIS DADDYS AND THEN WENT WITH HARVICK AFTER HIS PASSING!!!AND AS FOR GORDON AND JOHNSON BEING IN THE FRONT I STILL QUESTION HENDRICKS MOTOR SPORTS AFTER BEING CAUGHT CHEATING AT DAYTONA BEFORE THE SEASON EVEN STARTED AND NOT JUST 1 CHEATER, BUT 2..... COME ON NOW!!!! ***** i was not yelling just for the record i like to use the caps their bigger!!! and since i am all about admiting my mistakes that is definatly a bad on my part i did miss read your remark about kevin and kurt, my apologies i was not attatcking!!! its all good!!!! and no i dont feel stupid!!!***** im sure jr. will get his break when he breaks free from dei (unfortunatly) cuz of teresa, i think she is holding him and the #8 car back from being more succesful this year!!!

I was a bit surprised that Jr. even contended, considering how far back in the pack he qualified. He drove hard and it was a treat to get to see him and Gordon fight it out so tenaciously (and then Stewart sneaks by them both!). All great drivers.
Being a recent convert to NASCAR, I was also surprised by the white paint scheme of his car! I was used to the red.
I sure hope he isn't sponsored by Mountain Dew next year! No green car could be nearly as cool-looking as his red and white Budweiser cars were.

No surprise. The press had focused on Hendrick Racing and the chase most of the week so it was a given.
Watch the press releases and where teams finish, more press higher finish.

No real surprise here. You figure the 3 top cars in qualifying were HMS cars.
Look out- here goes the cheating accusations again.
