but i dont know much about ebay first of all is it safe and am i going to receive this item if i buy it. is there anything that i should know before i buy it. thx

Look at the Seller's Approval Rating and the time they have been on ebay. If their rating is 100% and they have had 2 sales I'd avoid them. Ask the Seller if the camera works as it should. Avoid "As-Is" sales or Sellers who say "I don't know anything about cameras but I bought this at a yard sale and it looks okay."

Before you buy, check at KEH or B&H or Adorama to see if they have a comparable camera.

FG is actually a good little camera. It's got Programed, Aperture priority, and Manual modes.... But it feels a little too plastic. If you can get a perfect one that's seen little use, and it's under $50, grab it. I think you're better off spending 2 or 3 times that though, and getting an F3, FM2 or FE2 from that same era. Much more solidly built cameras. The FA is also a pretty nice camera. The one really nice thing about the little FG, is that it really is little, and light.
