God is good man is not. All the things you have talked about are the direct result of man's flaws. Man has free will and as such can make a choice to do terrible things to people. More importantly man's greed is one of the largest contributing factors to the worlds starvation and poverty issues. If the world shared its resources and wealth then things would be cool.

What matters is not the circumstances you have been born into but rather the fact that God offers you a different life through Jesus.
Maybe you have heard of Joyce Meyer? She was abused as a child by her own father yet today she is a full time minister, a wife and a mother. She didn't have a good start in life yet God turned her life around and healed all those inner wounds so she could become a person who is content and fulfilled.
The ruler of this world is Satan and the evidence of that is all around us. Jesus told us that He has overcome the world though.
Jesus also said that He came so that we could have life, life in full.
God's blessings, His peace and joy are available to everybody who puts His trust in Him.
Even if we have to go through struggles, God is always with us and He can give us peace in the middle of the storm.
Hope that helps you. God bless.

Because we are born with the gift of Free Will, we are responsible for the paths our lives take. When parents make the wrong choices, their children sometimes suffer. It snowballs from there. I was born into a very poor and uneducated family. I was determined to do better than that. I studied hard, won scholarships, got several degrees and pulled myself out of that misery. I helped my family pull themselves out of their misery as well. I showed them the way. My own daughter became sick and died. Before she did, she lit up the world with her beautiful heart and inspired so many people to be the best they could be. She was and is, an angel. We don't know God's plan for us. We don't know how He wants us to make a difference in this world or whose lives He wants us to touch. But I do know He loves us all, no matter which paths we have taken.

God has nothing to do with it. God gave us free will, This means that we can choose our destinies in life. He does not make someone go out and rape another person. God does not turn away from us We are the ones that turn away from him. A person who rapes or harms someone has chosen to turn from God. God is still there for that person when and if he/she chooses to come back. I personally believe in reincarnation and I believe when we are on the other side we choose what we are going to do in this next lifetime here on earth. A poor person has chosen to go through these struggles to learn other lessons that needed to be learned. Same as any other thing that we humans can not find an answer to. Once the lesson is learned then you return to the other side and make more choices on whether or not to reincarnate again and learn more lessons or to stay and learn on the other side.

Poverty and rape are problems brought on by the bad choices people make. Those questions can be answered by man's free will. God gave us free will, the ability to decide what we want to do and to do it w/o any interference from Him.
Sickness and other kinds of suffering: that's a mystery. How can an all-loving and all-powerful God allow pain and suffering? It's been debated for a million years and still we don't have a very satisfying answer. Google "theodicy" and see what they're saying for more information.

I thought the same Question myself, I was given my answer by reading a book, I believe there is a God and he is good, and there is no hell other than your own lesson on this earth, example if in my last life I beat a child & broke there bones my soul would come back into this life as a person with a disability or getting touchered, God does not punish us he gives us lessons to learn from over and over until we have no karma, we then live in peace, light & love.

It would be naive to expect that all people are born into equal circumstances. Due to variations in upbringing, religion, culture, education, etc. it would be impossible for all humans to live their lives in the exact same manner. These situations do not reflect on an indifferent God. They are simply random acts, mostly brought on by man's own indifference to his fellow man. Man has free will, thus it will be his own determined efforts that create a better world for all. My thoughts: It is best to live one's life as if there is a God and find out there isn't, than to live one's life as if there is no God and find out there is.

Jesus said that the poorer we are (money), the easy-er it is to get to heaven. "It is easy-er for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to get to heaven." Jesus said. Because when we have lots of money our mind is on the money, not God. The Bible even requires us to choose between God and money.
Jesus also said that Christians that suffer for him are the ones most likely to get to heaven.
God and Jesus do not make men rape woman. The man decides it, against God. If you disobey God and Jesus you did it, not them.
I was praying back when I was 12-13 to God to never let me get rich, for Heaven I want to get to. And I have never become rich. If I ever did come into a large amount of money most to all of it I would give away to help others in need.
IF everyone that has bought unnecessary items from 4 wheelers to campers to excessive trips gave all that money to help those that are starving or have lost their homes; would they be hungry or starving now?

Your question, if you forgive the correction, is totally invalid because there are no gods, good or bad.
It`s all in the minds of ancient people who, if they didn`t know the answer to anything, gave credit to mythical and magical gods. Romans and Greeks were the most notorious for it, they have a `god` for everything.
American Indians had the Happy Hunting Ground.
Aborigines in Australia had Ayres Rock which they still hold as magical and in reverence.
Gods are not good or bad, they do not exist.
Live by that and your life with be much easier.

They say our life on earth is a test of faith. We live through obstacles to prove our worthiness. We were given these tests because God knows we are capable of overcoming them. What the tests are is another matter e.g. helping those in need? those in need help themselves?
People are poor because of the economical and social depravation other people have enforced on others.
Because people are still going through such terrible things means there is still work to be done. I will do my part when my plan comes to fruitition.
Good luck
