Wow, all the conspirists say is that they cheat. They did get cought at Sonoma with some modifications in the gray area that NASCAR didn't like and they served their penalties. Heck, there have been many more and a lot worse infractions than what HMS did this year. Just because they set the standard for consistency and are a model for all the teams doesn't mean they are ahead of the pack because of cheating. They do more research and development than anyone else and Rick Hendrick is not going to get outworked or outsmarted by anyone else. It helps that he has great drivers and has employed the best minds in the business. From the suspension specialist, engine department to the guys that sweep the floor you will not find a better or more determined group of people working towards the same goal, getting an HMS driver the Nextel Cup Championship. I've said it before this week, the 48 team is looking poised to be the first back to back champion since Jeff Gordon did it. GO JIMMIE!!!!

I think it will be between Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon. But right now Gordon is blowing away the competition.
The important thing to remember about the chase is ... you don't have to win every week but at least finish in the top five. And for those drivers who aren't in the race, need to be respectful for those who are and let them pass when they are in position.
Jr. had more dumb luck last night. After blowing a fifth motor during the season it makes one suspicious of sabotage since he's going to Hendrick next year.

HMS is definitely the favorite comin' into the CHASE, and as much as I'm pulling for Jeff to get his 5th, I think the 2 teams on a roll entering the CHASE are Johnson, and Kurt Busch. They have been runnin' great here lately, and Johnson has really put it into high gear and could EASILY repeat. Anything can happen w/ this type of format, but I think the favorites will still come out on top.

I dont think there is a favorite right now, but I think it's going to come down to Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson for the championship.
I'm hoping Tony wins of course.

Jimmie is my fav driver also I think he deserves to win again after coming in second twice but I also like Jeff Gordon he is also a great driver would also like to see him drive for 5. Go Hendricks

Mighty mo is on Jimmie's side. I would have said a month ago that the Cup was Gordon's to lose.
Johnson deifinitely has momentum.
At the same time, it's really close. Big Shrub has been running well, as has Smoke.

OH NO, NOT CHEATERS!!!! CHEATER JOHNSON AND CHEATER GORDON, WHAT A RACE TEAM!!! I ESPECIALLY LIKE HOW THEY STARTED THE SEASON WITH CHEATING, THAT TAKES GUTS,WHAT A RACE TEAM!!! NOT!!!! IT IS JUST TOO MUCH OF A COINCEDENCE THAT THEY BOTH WERE CAUGHT, AND ALL 3 CARS SEEM TO GRAB THE 1,2,3, POSITION IN RICHMOND, HMMMMMM......DONT KNOW RCR HAS BEEN PRETTY HOT THIS YEAR TO, GIBBS RACING IS DOIN ALL RIGHT EVEN THOUGH TONYS ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES DONT SEEM TO BE HELPING, HE IS PRETTY BITCHY THIS YEAR!!!
