I've already asked some stuff in the past, and..well..my prayers were answered. And now, I want something big, very big, like my last prayer (it's not a videogame, or a car, or something you cant pray for). And I was wondering, when I pray for it.. Will God answer my prayers for the third time, or are my prayers useless?? (A dream) Please Help!!!

If it is in God's will for you to have it..then it will be given to you...ask and you shall receive!! You must have complete faith that your prayers are being considered by God..and yet you should never question God if you don't recieve something. HE knows what we need and what we don't! Are you a true christian? If not, your prayers are not being heard by God...only when you become a christian will God hear your prayers! If you are not a christian, it was out of sheer coincidence that you received anything before.

Bob is not only right but Bob's answer is fully consistent with the current thinking in quantum mechanics that the mere observation changes the outcome of certain experiments. One of the biggest problems with statistics is that the vast majority of people who use them don't have a clue about statistics. You say "we" have done statistical testing. If you were involved as your use of the term "we" suggests where are your results? Since you have not written your results in the way a statistician would I'm suggesting you are using the term "we" to mean members of the human race of which you are also a member, or perhaps you are using "we" to mean you are making a distinction between those who believe in a prayer answering God and those who don't and you're including yourself in the latter group. Either way, you are making mere assertions that are not supported by real statistics. Your so-called experiment is reminiscent of a documentary I once saw where various religious people were praying for certain terminally ill people. This was a TV stunt that had no scientific significance I'm afraid. For an experiment to be scientifically valid you have to be able to control all your variables and this was nothing like a controlled environment.

I am not even going to look at the can of worms this question will open.

CAN he? Sure! WILL he?

I have faced this problem a couple of times lately, really really wanting God to do something that might not be his will. The hardest part was making up my mind to acknowledge that, to tell him that this was how i felt. And then i followed the advice of Jesus about the neighbor in the middle of the night who wants a favor, but You're in bed and annoyed to be wakened and You don't want to answer, but the neighbor makes such a fuss at the door that You can't sleep anyway so You get up and go find out what Your neighbor wants.

And every moment of every day, every time i thought about it i knocked on God's door with my request, and i went to my knees (i don't usually do that, though i mean no disrespect in omitting it).

Did you ask for material goods in the past? If you did and your prayers were I do not believe it was of Divine doing (but who knows?).

I have dreams, and some come true; some can't. I do agree with the first poster. the Divine is not a slot machine. Sometimes we have to take matters into our OWN hands.

You are acting like God is a genie, the three wishes thing, so I am not even sure that you are a Christian.

If you aren't reading the Bible, then where do you get the idea that God will answer ANY prayers?

Keep praying and seeking for His perfect plan for your life. He always has an answer to your pray. Joseph in the Bible had a dream from God and it came to pass. Is your dream from God or from yourself? I use to want and ask out of my own desire, but when I started seeking God's desire for my life, I became content and happy with everything that He has given to me. I do not have much either, which is fine with me, as this is all I need. I just desire to be more like Him, I am desperate for more of HIm

God knows what you need.
He is not a slot machine. You don't keep stuffing prayers in Him hoping for a prize.

Proper prayer is praying that His will is done.

"....thy will be done" - Jesus
