Although there are some cases where that is true, it is not a sure thing. It does not have that effect on all people if any, all pills differ in there side effects. And for that matter some may actually casue you to gain weight. If your trying to loose weight i sugest doing cardio 3-5 times a week and eating healthy well balanced meals, and not to skip breakfast. You may also be confused with depression pills which can make you gain or loose weight. Its never healthy to use a pill such as these for weight loss, thats not what its for.
Good luck

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

It shouldn't cause any weight loss, as long as you aren't abusing them. Sleeping pills should really only be taken by people with insomnia or very bad sleeping habits anyway.

no they make u gain weight instead, where do such fads come from anyway.
u sleep more ie. less hours of active work and less burnt calories, plus some also increase ur appetite.and most of them are addicting. so stay away from them. exercise and a sensible diet are the best n only way to lose weight permanently. its a well researched fact.

Include at lowest 10 to 15 grams of protein, which suppresses ghrelin, a new hormone that stimulates your appetite. Include eggs, which are proven to control hunger.
