perhaps remind the stepfather that he is the adult.
sometimes kids feel as if the new step parent is trying to take away their mom or dad...
it's very difficult for kids to adjust to these "strangers" in their lives... and adults need to realize kids don't have the life experience we do.

at the beginning, while in any respect achieveable, you're able to be the single giving the orders and issuing the punishments. you will evade lots of issues by doing this. while he's left on my own along with her, of direction he needs to discipline; yet something of the time you're able to attempt to do maximum of it. If she would not sparkling her room, you're able to do a pair of issues. First, she will't do something different than college till that's completed. Secondly, you delivers her a cut-off date. Then, you pass into the room and confiscate something that may not in its place. Make a plan for what she needs to do to get those issues returned. as far as leaving the gentle on, commence a "kitty." every day she recollects, you place 1 / 4 in it; every day she forgets, she forfeits the quarter. while there is adequate, purchase a pizza. verify that, despite plan you devise, that's spelled out ON PAPER along with her signature. So, while she yells, you remind her that she substitute into somewhat sparkling what the effects have been. once you're making the punishment ideal to the infraction, and you levy the punishments continuously, quietly, and without drama, it is going to start to artwork after a short volume of time. She'll kick stressful on the beginning up, yet carry close in there, and you will see substitute. good success to you.
