the 18th anniversary is the porcelain one so maybe there is a china pattern your mother loves that you can get her. also you may want to look at a figures she might enjoy.

Once you hit the fifteenth, it goes by every five years. So they're into crystal and not quite to china. That doesn't keep you from creating your own traditions. Like latex, or battery powered mechanisms. Sorry, I had to. Try pewter. I don't see pewter on the list. There are some very nice pieces available. There's some nice Norwegian pewter to be had. I know that because I have a few pieces. You could even do something humorous like "yard sale pieces." Or antique shop pieces. They have a lot of interesting affordable stuff. All you must do is know what's been taken (http://jewelry.about.com/cs/anniversaryadvice/a/weddings.htm) is one list and work around that, knowing their interests. You could have an antique transister radio anniversary, for that matter. If it's somebody's interest. Vinyl records, anyone?
Velvet Elvis!!! It's the velvet Elvis anniversary!!!

Traditionally the 18th anniversary is porcelain. You can get a teacup and saucer set, for example.
I don't know where ticket came from, though. Closest I can find is 1st, which is paper. 3rd anniversary is leather.

Search for it on the internet.
Though 18 is not really a celebrated anniversary unless one of them has been diagnosed with a disease that's going to kill them before the 20th anniversary.
