It was 6 days then God rested. A day is as a thousand years to God and a thousand years is as a day. There is no time outside this world, so time is of nothing.
There is no possible way, especially for the human mind, to understand what 'days' would mean. It could have been 60,000 years, for all we know.
The bible states that the earth was null and void. God divided the waters from the waters. Mind you, this was written before the scientific understanding of even the concept of outer space. Even today, scientists dig for answers concerning our universe and certainly struggle for answers concerning what's outside our universe. So how was one to translate what they were being shown at the time. It came out as 'waters'.
Whatever the 'waters' were/are, God divided it. In the midst, God created heaven or the heavens. (still no explanation that we can understand)
We were told what He did with the 'waters' below (our world) but were never told what He did with the 'waters' above.
Regardless of how it's translated from generation to generation or from language to language, we will never have brain capacity to understand until we leave this world.
How would the pot on the shelf, ever understand where it came from? Suppose that pot never discovers there are a thousand others like him. Seems all the more possible, the pot will never see outside it's own little space. That's what we are. Each of us thinking we can understand while it's actually impossible.
To speak on the 6 days of creation is impossible to relate to anyone, and have it make sense. How could it?

Genesis , u r talking about but genesis aint compatible wd modern science.
Genesis, 1st Ch., it is mentioned - It says… ‘Almighty God created the Heavens and the Earth, in six days and talks about a evening and a morning, referring to a 24 - hour day. Today scientists tell us, that the universe cannot be created in a 24 hour period of six days.
Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses No. 3 and 5,…‘Light was created on the first day.’ enesis, Ch., 1 Verses, 14 to 19… ‘The cause of light - stars and the sun, etc. was created on the fourth day’. How can the cause of light be created on the 4th day - later than the light which came into existence on the first day? - It is unscientific
Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses 9 to 13… ‘Earth was created on the 3rd day. How can you have a night and day without the earth ? The day depends upon the rotation of the Earth Without the earth created, how can you have a night and day?
Genesis, Ch. No. 1 Verses 9 to 13 says… ‘Earth was created on the third day.’ Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses 14 to 19 says…‘The Sun and the Moon were created on the fourth day.’ Today science tells us… ‘Earth is part of the parent body… the sun.’ It cannot come into existence before the sun – It is unscientific
Ch. No.1, Verse No. 11 to 13…‘The vegetation, the herbs the shrubs, the trees - they were created on the 3rd day And the Sun, Genesis, Ch. No. 1, Verses. 14 to 19, was created on the 4th day.How can the vegetation come into existence without sunlight, and how can they survive without sunlight ?

It was six days of creation, not seven. There is a common misunderstanding about those six days. That misunderstanding is that the earth itself was created during the six “days” of creation. The Bible record indicates that the universe, the starry heavens, as well as this planet earth, were created before the first of earth’s creative days began.
Thus Genesis 1:1 tells of the creation of the starry heavens as well as this planet earth, and says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” When this “beginning” took place, the Bible does not say. It is not until later in the Bible that we read of what God created on the first “day.” The six creative “days,” therefore, involve the creative acts of God in preparing the already-existing earth for human habitation, and not the creation of the earth itself. There is nothing in the Genesis account, then, to contradict the scientific conclusions of modern scientists that the material universe, including the earth, may be many thousands of millions of years old.

The simplest way is simply that God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and rested on the seventh.
It's all spelled out for you in the book of Genesis.

In my opinion, the people who wrote that (Moses, if that's true; and translators since) knew that it was myth and metaphor, and not to be taken literally. Their point was that the whole concept of a calendar did not start until after creation was completed. Therefore, there is no telling how long (in our terms) a day would be in the story of Genesis. You might even say that it was impossible for Moses to know that, whether or not the story was dictated word-for-word from God.

I think the first Chapter of Genesis tells this. It was a systematic approach to creation that provide the needs of survival before the next part in creation.
In short; Food came before the animals/man who needed food. Sun and Water came before food, so it would grow.
Best I can explain.

There are two creation accounts in Genesis. One from the viewpoint of the universe and the other an earthly viewpoint.
Originally, there was nothing but God. He personally Created one spirit creature, Jesus. Jesus was used to create everything else. As for our universe, how matter came to be, what process God used is unknown. Big Bang is the current idea.
The "creative days" were not earth days as earth wasn't made till later. Matter came into existence. Then solar systems with stars and planets. How long it took to cool is evidently not counted as part of those "days" as it tells of one "day" ending and another "day" beginning but not necessarily together.
In any event, our solar system was made for humans to live here. Our planet was placed precisely the correct distance from the sun, our star. Other planets in other orbits of the sun keep ours in line. Earth was tilted precisely 23.5% off axis for earth to have seasons able to support life and a moon to direct tides and keep the water cycle of earth going.
Water was separated to allow dry land to form and vegetation be made to grow. Animal life on sea, land, and air were created. Then man was created to oversee and care for it all. Finally woman was created to be a companion and helpmate to man. Then God rested from His creation work on the 7th day. The Bible speaks of that 7th day still going on now and in the future. It will end with the end of Christ's 1,000 year reign as King of God's Kingdom. So we know the "Creative Days" are at least 7,000 years long each.
I hope this is easy for you as an overview.

It's actually 6 days of creation. The seventh day the creator rested.
But anyway, the gist of it is that the creation myth was a pre-scientific, mythological explanation for the creation of the universe, stars, planets and life.
Science has long since replaced the creation myth.

I really think that you should get a copy of the Bible in whatever translation you might like and read it for yourself. It's in the very front. And learn to develop your own opinion rather than going around to everyone else and asking theirs so you can conform to it. You will become your own person in that way. It's a big step in maturity you know...
