That would be against everything God wishes for man.

Torture by burning is something God never thought of. Some people in Jeremiah 7:31 burned their kids in sacrifice to an idol. God says here He never had such a thought enter His mind.

This would also go against what He says is the condition of the dead. In Psalms 146:3-4 it says when one dies "on that day, his thoughts do perish." Eccles. 9:5,10 makes it clearer by flat out saying the dead can't feel anything bad or good or know anything about themselves or surroundings. So just what good would trying to torture do????

In fact, one of the reasons things are so bad today is God's loving kindness. In 2Peter 3:9 it says God is not slow about promises to restore the earth to paradise, but desires all to repent to be able to live in that paradise. If He did not, we would have been dead long ago as our ancestors would have been cut off so we would never have been born.

Hi and good morning Gasp....This is what I believe....The Catholic Church believes that there are two sins that one can commit. A Venial sin and the Mortal sin. Now a Venial sin is an action or thought that was not intentional. Such as 'gossiping' for instance. One who has committed a venial sin can ask God for His forgiveness without a priest. The relationship with God may be harmed but God will forgive. Now a Mortal Sin is a bit more severe. One is defying God's law. One of His Ten Commandments. Thou Shall not steal, Thou Shall not commit murder and so forth. A Mortal sin was intentional. When one commits a mortal sin, one needs to seek out a priest to ask God for His forgiveness. If one does not seek out a priest to ask for forgiveness then one will be condemned to hell for all eternity. Now I'm not a Catholic, however I do believe in some of their views and issues regarding to Jesus and God and what they believe. Have a blessed day!

enable's settle for it, the clergymen who invented this terrible travesty of a faith concept eternal discomfort may well be so a lot extra effective in scaring people than purely the eternal oblivion this is the reality. They needed to do as much as a threat to make people provide them ability and pay them nicely for fake supplies. They tried to supply the two reward and punishment and pass to extremes with them. it particularly is the hassle-loose theory of giving a horse sugar cubes if it obeys you or utilising a whip if it would not obey. it is likewise like candy and spanking for infants. purely immature people want reward and punishment, so we are able to with ease see who the clergymen go with of their temples. The mature persons does the terrific situation purely because is stable and want no threats of Hell. no one might desire to probably deserve eternal discomfort for any clever reason, so a deity who insists upon such savagely sadistic strikes is extra devil than god.
