Newquay is the best for the young. Torquay I don't think so, even I at 50something I wouldn't go there. Bournemouth? Party conferences - need we say more. Brighton - a bit single sexed now it seems.
Cornwall has it all, sun, surf and fun.

beaches at brighton are pants,but the nightlife is good especially if you bat for the other side
Try Newquay for a good mix of 'beauty and the beast' especially if you're into surfing
