Move away is the best approach in that situation. Ask the waitress to give you a different spot. If that does not work, then I would leave the bar. In today's world, you dont want confrontations with strangers who could turn out to be totally crazy and homocidal.

You did the right thing by getting out of there. You could have also told the bartender or the manager of the bar, who would then have the option to kick the guy out or call the police or whatever. You could also have called the police yourself. But leaving is honestly much easier. If the bar wants to have that kind of patron around, you can take your business elsewhere.

We ran into this problem too a little while ago. We just asked the waitress to mention the "problem" to the bouncer and sure enough, he took care of it and we continued on and enjoyed our evening. But like your other responders, ask for management or the bouncer - don't let the harasser get away with it!

Say to him "Dad, I'm going to tell mom that you were at the bar again, and you know she has a new marble rolling pin". Now get your *** home before I call the cops and you end up with a cellmate named Luther".

Gotten up and left. There's no reasoning with drunk people some times.

You can't reason with an obnoxious drunk, that's what bouncers are for. You should have asked to have him removed. The management doesn't want him there either, as he's bad for business.

I would say "get your dirty hands off of me!" You have to set limits with people and some people don't get it until you are so direct. It is okay to do this. When we are young, it is scary to do things like this, but as we get older we realize it is okay. So, feel okay about saying "NO!!"

You should have punched his drunk *** square in the jaw! Especially, if you felt violated. Don't be a victim! You and your friends could have easily taken him out with one good swing to the groin! Oh I wish I was there, I would have had your back.
haha, that would have made for a fun evening!

Slap the hell out of him really hard and curse him out for everyone around you to hear... I bet he'll stay away from you then.
