God is constant and His Word is absolute truth. To stray from that is sin, whether one thinks so or not. He does not change and His Word is forever........He doesn't make amendments as we go along. He doesn't excuse sin because of circumstances. He is no respecter of persons when it comes to sin. He's not wishy-washy about His will for our lives. And He wrote the book on morality.

How do you define morality? What is absolutely right and good? Then you have to define right, and good.
Morality, as I understand it, is doing what is best for everybody, causing the most good, and doing the least harm at the same time. All of these terms are subjective, and it is virtually impossible to understand cause and effect enough to know whether your actions will cause and inspire more good, or ill.
So morality is really a tricky issue. I strive to understand how my actions effect others, and how it will impact their decisions, and how those decisions will affect others, and I'm still not very good at it. The best I can do is try and get better.
But that opens a whole new level of morality. Are my actions manipulative? Is trying to perceive how my actions affect others, and the subconsequences of their actions the same as trying to control another person so that my subjective view of morality is accomplished?
Again, it's really in the eye of the beholder.

The gun is not evil it is an object. The person using the gun to intentionally kill someone makes it evil in that instance only because of premeditated intent. To use a gun to protect ones family from an extreme danger is not because you are trying to prevent harm and sometimes the only way to do that is by force if the situation warrants it. The person who has the intent of doing great harm to your family is the one containing the evil. Morality is a matter of perspective to a point. Not everyone in this country agrees on what is moral depending on many things including background, race, ethnicity, gender and religion. Some morals transcend that and are agreed upon by all, some not.

I think our society has become too permissive. I think we love making excuses and denying accountability but quick to lay blame. We have taken political correctness to sickening levels, but fail to firmly and correctly address problems. We are to afraid of pissing someone off rather than have the backbone to stop certain individuals from pissing everybody off. We are overly liberal, and don't pay close enough attention to our children, nor do we always guide them properly. All of this to me is immoral.

As far as individual morals are concerned:
You can't legislate how people relate to each other. To try is a joke & a costly waste of time, money & manpower. However, discretion by people should also be used. Behave in a manner that is not publicly disgusting, or exposes our children to things they should not see at their age. Is there a need for two young couples to walk down the street with their hand on each others rear end?

No. Without God's standard of the Moral Law we are left with human opinions about it. : )

Absolute truth exists; it is with God not man. man sees who, what, when, where, and how; God also sees why (1 Samuel 16:7). Man can perceive 'why' but he has to 'listen' (given that presently he does not read others hearts) to other(s), rather than 'filling in the blank' oneself currently.

You need a standard, and the standard is God. Without a supreme standard, man could do anything. What would be moral to you, may not be to me.

There is absolute truth. There's so many things you can do wrong and there's virtues that you should follow as well.
