DO NOT PUT HIM ON MEDS. they have some nasty side effects that you do not want to deal with. many kids wet the bed, and most out grow it by age 10. don't worry about it it is normal. just buy him some goodnites underpants and don't make it a big deal.

Okay, I know this sounds really weird and not good but I wet the bed on occasion (not every night) until I was 11 1/2 to 12.
What I think you should do is buy an alarm for him. I didn't use an alarm but I heard they work really good. My friend's sister who is 12 still wets the bed sometimes because she has an unusually small bladder but she doesn't every night.
Hope I helped!

My son too did this until age 8 1/2. He was on meds from the doctor that he would use while sleeping over a freinds etc.
I ended up taking him to a local chriopactor and believe it or not he has stopped.
I have also used a tablespoon of honey before bed which helped somewhat too. Good Luck

First have him checked out by his paediatrician. Some children grow faster than their bladders. Also, I forget what they call it, but it is possible his system is not making enough of the chemical that limits the amount of urine the kidneys produce during sleep. This can be supplemented with a nasal spray or tablet before bed time. ( This is a prescribed item )
You can buy a alarm that attaches inside his under-ware and sounds when the first drop of urine leaks. Our second son was 10, before he was dry on his own through the night.

First get a plasitc cover for the bed. Then when he goes to bed make sure he doesn't have any liquids 4 hours prior to bedtime. If this doesn't help then go see your doctor. Whatever u do don't make a big deal out of it. Sometimes it takes kids longer then others.Good luck

Have a doctor check him over, and if nothing's wrong, get him some of those night-time underpants (like diapers, but not). Don't embarrass him; he's not doing it on purpose and is probably already embarrassed, and he'll grow out of it.
You might quietly note which foods he's eaten when he has these incidents--it might be something like that.
But the first thing is the doctor.

More often than not there are psychological reasons this happens in children. Has something happened within the family to stress him out, such as a divorce, move of the family, etc.? If not, you may need to look for something else. Sometimes if they are being abused they do this, too. I don't want to scare you, but you can't rule anything out.

Take him to your pediatrician and tell him about it. He will then check to see if it is physical in origin. Many times it is and the child simply grows out of it. It may also be physcological in nature and he may need some counselling, go to the Dr. first though for the physical.

He is still a little boy so maybe you should just let him grow out of it but in the meantime just make sure he goes to the bathroom before going to sleep and make sure he doest drink anything right before bed.

Just a suggestion, maybe he has a bladder problem, should get him checked first. My daughter had that problem, it was very embarrassing for her, back in the day when they didn't have pull-up under ware for kids I had her try a sanitary pad, she was so happy, she got to stay nights at her friends and wasn't embarrassed. But now they have pull up under ware for people, try that. Please do not yell at him, he is probably confused himself. My daughter grew out of it, she just didn't have control at night because she was such a sound sleeper...........Good Luck....Dianne
