Depends on who's calling you, or perhaps the calling is meant to change or "Destroy" something in your life. Should never be a negative experience, Remember not to tire of the chastisement...there is a lesson to be learned and a message to receive....

It can be something you don't want to do. See Jonah
Also, you may not see the big picture and to you it might seem negative but if it really is a calling I doubt it could be destructive

God always has a positive purpose in mind whenever He calls you to something. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11) This does not mean however, that following that calling will always be easy. Then again, can anything be more fulfilling than doing what Jesus calls you to do?

Judas had a calling and he answered it and is recorded in God's Word as the ultimate example of a bad choice. But, in the scheme of things, he was necessary in accomplishing God's plan for the redemption of mankind.

If the calling is from the Holy Spirit, it will be oriented to serving others and to be pleasing to God the Father.
