I accidentally left a gallon of skim milk in the car after grocery shopping last night from 5:30 until 8:00 pm

Question

When I suddenly remembered that i had done that i wwent out and brought it in. The sides of the container were luke warm and the bottom cool. Do you think it is safe? Or should it be thrown out?
It is sitting in my refrig. unopened since I brought it in.

Open it up and smell it or take a small taste. If it taste ok then drink it..other wise throw it away. If it was still cool it should be fine. At the cost of milk now days I would try it first..

Here's How: . Fill a deep bowl or pan with enough cold tap water to cover an egg. . Place the egg in the water. . If the egg lies on its side on the bottom, the air cell within is small and it's very fresh. . If the egg stands up and bobs on the bottom, the air cell is larger and it isn't quite as fresh. . If the egg floats on the surface, it it should be discarded. Also: A very fresh egg out of the shell will have an overall thick white which doesn't spread much and the yolk will stand up.

I've done that a few times too. It's fine now but I find milk doesn't keep anywhere near as long if it was allowed to get warm, so use it up fast.

I think it would be fine. I have done that too. Sometimes people shop and go places after and leave all their stuff in the car, meat ice cream etc.Drink it!

I would open it and smell it, if it smells ok then I would taste it, it wasn't out of the fridge too long and it wasn't totally warm so you may be ok, hope this helps

of coarse its safe till you taste of it or go by smell if it don't suit ya well you know wat 2 do next, don't ya'' on the other hand if yore rich go head throw high $ milk away, its high $ stuff here I no dat''
