Yep, no comparison.
Religion is about following rules and regulations and traditions and dogma.
Relationship is about love and faith and hope and peace and joy....
and having a best friend who will always be there for you!

It all depends on YOUR view of things. Some people would consider them one in the same. Others would rather have a religion (or would prefer a lack thereof, such as Buddhism or atheism). If you feel that you can have a relationship with the teachings of Jesus in your own way, more power to you then...but even following Jesus's teachings is a religion.

And if 100,000 people sit around having a relationship with Jesus how does that not constitute a religion?

Oh, yes! One only has to have accepted Jesus personally to know. And it's not hard at all. :) "Religion" is just a bunch of senseless mumbo jumbo that says "you gotta believe this", or "you gotta believe that", or "you don't associate with these people". We learn from a relationship with Jesus what GOD really says is good and right, not what man says is good.

Yes-it is. It is good to go to church and all that--that is part of it.But the Lord desires a close friendship with Him.Some of us do not have many people in our lives that really care enough to talk to us or have much to do wit us.So,having a close relationship with Jesus is vital. At least He loves me always and talks to me every day. He is never too busy to do that, unlike people.

Even as an atheist I would love to have a relationship with jesus. He was a great soul who yearned for good of others even at the cost of his own life.

Church-eology isn't at all the equivalent of being a follower of Jesus.

Yes, yes and yes.......I was raised in a very religous catholic family and I never agreed with the things, that they did.
Now I am born again (I am the only one in my family) and I am so glad that Jesus found me when He did.
Hallelujah

Religion (by itself) is meaningless.
Jesus forgives sin & gives eternal life.
