Hi there. One of my friends is going to be charged for assualt. A few months ago we went to a party and had a fight with a few other girls. One of the girls grabbed my friends arm and her hair first and then she charged my mate for assualt. The girl has 3 witnesses saying that we did go to the party and we started it? But it was her who started the whole thing. So anyways I'm just wondering, cause my mates never been charged for anything before. What do you think is the worse that could happen. Remeber I am gonna be her witness so will that help her at all?. And If I say that girl started grabbing my mate? Whats the charge gonna be like? Also my mate was quite drunk so she burnt the girls chest with a cigg by accident. So now they're sayin she done it on purpose.? Whats the worse that could happen to a none criminal person, someone whos never been charged for anything before.?

Hopefully ALL of you will be found guilty of disturbing the Peace and common assault.

Pity they cant give you about 3 years in the slammer, then you all might learn some manners and behave like civilized people instead of a drunken bunch of larger louts!

Common assault can have a maximum sentance of up to 6 months or a fine. As this is her first offence she could just get a caution or a fine

Read the section Common assault, contrary to section 39 Criminal Justice Act in the link
