i was driving along at about 50 in a 30 limit and i got pulled over he sed he was going to put 3 points on my license and give me a speeding ticket i then got a lecture about driving fast and he let me go does this mean im gunna get it in the post or was i given a verbal warning?? i didnt have any idea or my license and i got breathalised but it came back zero it was also around 12 at nite

We are human too. Sometimes we say that we will give tickets and forget. If he chewed you out, you blew zero, and he checked you driving record and it was clean, he could have changed his mind. Wait a few days for a ticket in the mail and then you can be relieved that you were just inconvenienced for a few minutes last night.
And speeding is more than enough probable cause to put you through Field Sobriety and test you.

You didn't get a ticket! They used speed as an excuse to stop you as that is when the DUI brigade is out there.
Their first question is "Have you been drinking?"! What difference does that make? It is legal!
It doesn't even sound like he had any probable cause to give you a breathalyzer!
