A very close friend of mine just passed away and she loved butterflies. I am trying to get some ideas on a butterfly tattoo that I can get. Any help would be appreciated.. I am thinking of something tribal....

so she liked tribal butterflies? they are a beautiful breed of insect... flying around all tribally. oh wait, no. they're not. tribal is an awful choice in my opinion for any tattoo unless you belong to a tribe or have an ancestry that has a tradition of tribal tattoos.
why not get a realistic tattoo of a butterfly? i'm not a huge fan of butterfly tattoos but realistic is better than tribal for sure.

I would suggest looking at a tattoo database or design gallery linke in the link below. They should have more than enough designs to help make up your mind.
Failing this, a visit to your tattoo parlour to see what choices they have is the next step.
Of course you could design it yourself.

two ideas i can think of.
1.make a caterpillar transform into a butterfly
2.have a butterfly transform into their face.

when you go to the parlour...look through their books, they will have plenty of ideas...just remember, you will have it for the rest of your life, so choose something you will always enjoy.
