What is luck to you, and why do people talk about something that does not really exist, as if it were a god or something? How many God fearing people say: "Good luck" instead of "God bless" or something else a little more reverent?

If any event takes place, there is then a 0% chance that it will happen, because the circumstances have changed. If that is true, does any event really have any 'chance' of happening in the first place?

Luck is merely probability....

People talk about it like that because it is something they have no control over. It is MERE CHANCE. People say good luck in the sense that you are telling that person, "I hope that you're 15% chance of actually does happen.."

You see, there always has to be a chance, ANY chance of that event happening in order for LUCK to come into play... even a .000000000000001% chance of anything happening CAN indeed occur.

** In regards to your addition, you cannot say 0% after the fact... Probablity deals with the chance of something happening, before it actually occurs... Once an event occurs, there WAS an x% probability, and if put in the same situation, you will have the same chance...

I believe in both, I've been very lucky in a lot of things in my life but some of that luck I have made myself.

Luck is the presence of random chance, good luck are positive outcomes of random chances, and we wish people to have those. Saying "God Bless" is not random chance and has nothing to do with good or bad or no luck unless by invoking His name He chooses to intervene and stack the chances in your favour.

I've heard the saying 'the lucky Irish'.. LOL-Well, I've had a lot of 'bad luck' as well as good. I guess chance occurences are attributed to luck.
LOL-Try proving there's no such thing as 'luck'.
(IE-Proving a negative) Apparently, reason is not an option if you go by Christian 'logic'.

Luck is the term many people use. I know someone who nearly had a bad accident. They said that they were lucky. I said, No, you were not lucky, God took care of you. It was the Grace of God, that kept you safe.

The Bible recognises good luck...and warns about it.
(Isaiah 65:11) “But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.

I agree. I usually say God Bless. All of our blessings come from God. Give him thanks. He is worthy.
