On average, how many hours sleep would a 10 week old have in 24 hour bracket.
My son sleeps about 16-18 hours in total, is this "normal"?

Completely. Be happy, some do not sleep that long and you have to work at getting their sleep in.
Good luck and best wishes.

All babies are different, my daughter at 10 weeks slept about 12 out of 24 (not much of a sleeper, waaah!), my son at 10 weeks slept about 18 hours out of 24 (thank god didn't need another one, lol). If you are concerned talk to your child health nurse, but 16-18 hours sounds great.

Not to worry Momma :) Your son is doing fine. Babies need their sleep as it was a very traumatic being born. Their little bodies went thru alot during the birth experience, as did yours. I would personally sleep as much as you can, WHILE YOU STILL CAN, lol. Remember also that a sleeping baby is a "growing baby". You were blessed with a calm and peaceful baby. Some mothers don't get any sleep. Their babies stay awake all day and night long due to colic. So.........BE HAPPY :) CONGRATULATIONS on your new little son. Good luck !!!

hey! at first, as you already understand, it is no longer cautioned that a toddler is positioned on their tummy in any respect, rather decrease than 6 months while normally they havn't have been given sufficient help of their neck and head. issues have replaced alot on account which you have been a toddler and there are new issues continuously that are convalescing circumstances like SIDS. What i might say is, while putting to mattress continually lie them feet to foot on the backside of their cot on their returned and tuck in firmly so as that they optimistically can not wriggle to actual haha. in the event that they then turn interior the evening this is tremendous. As for the exhibit screen, i understand of a tommee tippee one called 'Crystal clean SureSound™ appropriate exhibit screen. this could be a sensor mat attatched to a exhibit screen which alarms while no circulate (respiratory coated) is detected over a quantity of time. this is basically cautioned from start to 6 months as previous this they could have deeper sleeps, meaning it is going to alarm for no reason

I have three children of my own and have learned that all babies are very different and have different sleeping patterns. I don't think that's too excessive and think it will change in time so enjoy it while it lasts. Aslong as your baby seems happy and alert whilst awake then that is the best indicator of how your baby is feeling.
