Hate to break it to you, but virgin births are technologically possible today.
That's really not the mind-killing point within Christianity. The mind-destroying point is the entire book of Genesis.

Could you be any less educated?
Using in-vitro fertilization virgins have been impregnated and given birth. This was all over the News ten years ago or so.
Anyone who reads any popular science based magazine, Discover, Scientific American, the Smithsonian, etc, knows about in-vitro fertilization and modern fertility techniques and the fact that Virgins not only have been proved to give birth, but, that it can now happen all the time. In fact anyone who watches television knows these things too.
You must live in a cave.

Yes, we believe that Jesus was born of Mary a Jewish virgin. And yes the Bible teaches that. The prophesy said "the maiden will become pregnant" but the Hebrew word for "maiden" could have been either a young married woman or a virgin. The fulfillment of the prophesy shows that she was a virgin and unmarried at the time of conception (although engaged) and married at the time of the birth but still virgin.

Hey, buddy. One word; invitro-fertilization. The little green men are abducting and invitro-fertilizing all the time (or so I've been told) so be careful if your a broad. But why would they give a rat's *** about our species is anyone's guess. Of course they know that we're pissin' on this beautiful planet. Could be that they are racing against time to provide us with enlightened DNA, as it were, so that we can wake up and fix the problem ourselves or vis a vis the aliens. If that doesn't work, then maybe it's back to the drawing board to wipe the slate clean and start anew. Be sure packed and ready to roll.

I think that of all the things you need to believe to be a Christian, a virgin getting knocked up by God is an easy one.
Besides, the Greek and Roman gods knocked up mortal women all the time so it wasn't even an original idea back then.

I don't really go for any of that stuff, the only thing I agree with is that someone somewhere came up with a message of love, peace, kindness and forgiveness. No matter what else anyone wants to make or believe about God or Jesus, that message can never be a bad thing.

Nobody of us know the date of birth of Jesus Christ. It was not written either in the bible. But the Pople invented a date which is not true. There is no truth that Jesus Christ was born on December 25, false belief of catholics.

You have no scientific understanding, I see! Today scientists often use artificial insemination and invetero fertilization to impregnate animals and VIRGIN animals produce offspring.
"That sheep is a virgin and is pregnant" I say you reply "Impossible that defies my intelligence, I'm too smart to believe that".
So, what is so hard to believe about Gog placing one sperm cell in Mary's womb to fertilize an egg? Man can do it, but not God?
Having doubts doesn't make you a sinner. Rejecting Jesus and His salvation is what will send you to hell.

It is unscientific to discard a record of history out of hand just because the record contains miracles. History rules over science in that science describes what "normally" happens, whereas history describes what actually did happen.
It is unscientific to reject history just because history describes events that don't normally happen.

The point of "immaculate birth" is the idea that Jesus Christ was born without "sin" or without "karmic conditioning" carried down from a physical family line.
If you consider all other souls, we carry "karma" or "biased conditioning" from previous generations, some unknown which can date back to "original sin," some directly from our parents or grandparents, and some from other generations where the "sins of the fathers are visited upon the sons" for several generations until this "karma" or "sin" is worked out.
This "karmic conditioning" can take many forms, ranging from abusive or addictive behaviors, cultural or religious or racial biases against certain groups we are conditioned to distrust or dislike, attitudes about money or politics, relationships or institutions. But Jesus was not limited by these human conditions because He saw through God's eyes and loved all people, even those He rebuked most harshly. He was truly coming from a divine source, as His purpose on earth in human form was to "rejoin" this earthly level back with God in Heaven from whence He was sent; that He, as the Word of God, was always with God in Heaven, and was merely made incarnate in human form so that man and God would be made one again.
The point of Jesus Christ, His incarnation as the divine will, love or justice of God in human form, and His sacrifice while on the earthly plane is to "break through" the vicious cycle, the repetitive history of human suffering due to "retributive justice" or negative karma, where ill and corruption merely begets more of the same. We humans would never be able to break free from this, if that is all we have and all we know, if that is all we keep inheriting and repeating from the past.
However, because of the gift of Christ, and the divine grace in "atoning" for all sins which His sacrifice on the Cross represents, by joining together in that same spirit of "forgiveness" of the past so that we can "restore" equity and justice, live by the spirit of truth and love and charity, then we can truly fulfill the end of the vicious cycle and establish peace on earth or the Kingdom of God which is both in us and among us. We have that ability in our hearts by accepting the gift of Christ.
So this transcendence, this connection with God through Christ, would not be possible if Jesus himself were just as tied in with human karma. Instead He had to rise above it. He took it on, but then purged it, and that is why healing through prayer in Christ Jesus works to cast out demonic negative energies, heal bodies and relations, and bring "restorative justice."
So that is what Jesus and His birth and sacrifice mean to me.
You are right, that you would have to understand the science of energy to see how this universal process works. Otherwise, how can any good be generated in a corrupted system? There must be love and good will and positive energy injected into a corrupted system in order to heal and correct it. Negative thought and energy only begets itself. So scientifically speaking, there must be positive love energy from another plane intervening in our human world, or else there would be little hope for humanity.
It is very profound indeed. May you be blessed with divine understanding so that you receive great truth and liberation from anything that otherwise seeks to deceive or divide. May all the hearts and minds you touch also be blessed with the gifts of enlightenment and salvation. In Jesus name, may all be rejoined as one with truth, love, and all things good and holy.
