i need to lose weight, and i need to become smaller. my problem is that i am basically all muscle, but i am big. so it kind of makes exercise an undesirable option to burn calories because whenever i go to the gym i seem to just get bigger. not the numbers on the scale but my clothes fit tighter and i look larger too.
i am actually overweight not someone who thinks so and aims to look anorexic. i would really appreciate some help on how to lose weight and to burn calories without increasing my muscle mass. the muscle mainly builds up in my legs.

thank you

If you are "basically all muscle" the only way you are going to lose weight is to eat very little and don't exercise. Realize that many people would love to have your "problem"

Cardio will burn up calories quickly, and if you do it for long enough, will also start breaking down some of your muscle for energy.

Also, do lots of reps with light weights. This won't build more mass, but it will help tone the areas you train.
