God doesn't want us to wear clothes. He wants us running around stark naked (see Genesis, Chapter 1). Eve screwed it up for all men when she had that little chat with the snake (aka Lucifer or the Devil or as I call him, Satan) and after Satan talked her into eating the fruit of the forbidden tree (and Adam did the same) - they realized they were naked, so they clothed themselves with leaves. I guess the trend of wearing clothes continued through the ages because of Satan's support for such designers as Armani, Versaci, Gucci and the rest. We are all, therefore, following Satan's recommendation and disobeying God - that is true. God forgive us for our sins. I do recommend that on the Sabath Day, we all go around in our natural naked state to atone for our sins. Rosie O'Donnel is excused from this duty.

If we are taking genesis literally then no god did not intend us to wear clothes. It was because Adam and Eve disobeyed gods command about eating the forbidden fruit, that he made them aware of their bodies and thus we wore clothes to cover our shame.

In Genesis when Adam and Eve sinned, they became aware of their nakedness for the first time and were ashamed (genesis 3:7)
God Himself killed animals and gave them clothes.
(genesis 3:21) so I guess it's ok with him.

That is no longer the work of God. It is your own wish and desire whether you want to wear clothes or remain not wearing clothes.
