Yes, I agree. It is a situation like this when all articles written should be taken into account. When familiar with reading just one or two daily newspapers, you can become bias towards that reporting.
It was already uncomfortable for us to think of the distance from the bedroom to the tapas bar and if that distance is even longer! It is facts like these which will eventually bring the truth of what happened that night.
This is one incredibly sad story - as is the thought of all the children going missing around the world daily.

Jack H - just as I was beginning to think that no-one with a properly published opinion was risking speaking as they found regarding the McCanns, you have brought this article to my attention - thanks! I don't read the daily papers in the UK, I just read online news and read the Sunday Times but it has become apparent that no-one dares slate the McCanns publically because of this whole British 'don't kick someone when they are down' attitude. The article you highlighted is refreshing in that it actually asks the questions that many of us have been asking here - but has slightly more credence because it comes from a published journalist. It's just a shame that the British press is still so blinkered. Thanks again!

its good to see an equally balanced outlook on this case as i always read the news and events section and noticed alot of people are against the McCanns then for them.
i however do not jump in and accuse anyone of anything until there is overwhelming evidence that they did this
i suppose i also dont really want to beleive that a mother could do this to her own child
i just keep hoping maybe that she is safe and well even though in the back of my mind i know she isnt going to be found (alive anyway) poor Maddie

It is a very good article without all the hype,
lets hope the truth comes out soon.
Its a shame that Matthew Oldfield just listened outside the door and never actually went in and saw her in the room.

Very interesting. It's good to see the press in a balanced article without disagreeing with one of the sides (the police) just because they're foreigners.

There is a lot of guess-work here. Where was the body hidden? They are followed into their bathrooms; everywhere!
If the evidence is there, why haven't they been charged; flat out. There is no need to pretend to offer a deal!

Yes, it's a good piece of reporting.
The first time I saw them, I thought they weren't telling us the whole story. I suspect many other people shared my views. But the British press rushes like a herd of pigs to the emotive stuff.

Interesting reading Nina.
IF the McCanns are innocent of any involvement with their daughters disappearance, what strikes me is there seemingly lack of urgency and involvement on the night she went missing and their lack of emotion and involvement since.
