a sin tax if i read the website i just closed correctly is a tax on stuff like tabacco to discourage people from purchasing them.

When something doesn't make sense such as "sin tax" then of course it originated in the minds of women (No offense intended).

Just kidding. But actually it is using taxation for the purpose of penalizing people with vices and thus moralizing while collecting revenue. It seemed to me as something a mother would come up with, that's why I made that bad joke.
