Several. I had a hamster at one time that my brother gave me. I started with one and ended up with thirty in the end!
Started with one that was pregnant and she had babies, these babies sexually mature quickly so you can run into them making even more and more if you are not careful. I ended up with about 30 hamsters in the end. But I think the first litter she started out had 4-5.
I don't have them anymore, they were really sweet but be careful if you decide to keep them all!

Edit: Also to the person under me, the male will sometimes eat the babies, or feet tails ect. It's good to seperate them.

Hi, I am no wizz at animals but I do know that no hamster has the same amount of babies every time. It is rare that only one baby will be born. Most of the time a pregnant hamster has about 3-5 babies. I hope you have looked into mating your hamsters and know what to do when she has the babies. A hamster will kill its offspring if it is scented with a different smell so if she has babies make sure you dont pick them up until their eyes are open and they are wondering around the cage themselves.

Around 5 to 7 and you must give it more food and don't touch the babies cuz you might scare the mother and the mom might even kill the babies herself.

my hamster had babies they are so little and pink. anyways she will have no more than 6 and try not to get the mom upset because mine ate her young yeah i know it sounds sick but it the truth.
