I think it is way to early to say that Penn State is going to win the Big 10 title. As much as I would love to see it. Ohio State has a great defense with a suspect offense, Wisconsin I believe just took UNLV for granted and didnt play their best.
Look at Purdue, scoring all those points and Michigan State, off to a 2-0 start. Too early to tell. I would like to say to those who think that the Big 10 is worse off for having Penn State in there conference, obviously doesnt know anything about Big 10 football and all the revenue that they bring to the Big 10 by selling out all their home games, representing the Big 10 in Bowl games. All that brings in money. Plus, it takes the Big 10 to decide whether or not to have Penn State in their conference. I think if you ask the Presidents and Athletic Directors of all the Big 10 schools, I think that they would agree its a good thing to have Penn State in their conference

Ohio State thus far has looked less spectacular than last year. Last year they got a lot of momentum going because everyone overlooked them at first and it was a down year for the Big Ten. This year, there is NO intimidation factor, since Penn State will have NO trouble stuffing Beanie Wells like a Thanksgiving turkey (if a thinned defense can crush teams like Oregon State, imagine what it can do with Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma back in), and your team CANNOT stop a spread offense. You WILL be punting this year, A LOT. I expect Penn State to cruise out to a 34-0 lead at the end of thee quarters after Penn State knocks out one of your key players at the beginning of the game to let the Buckeyes know that Penn State isn't taking any crap from them this year. The slack-jawed, shocked Buckeyes will be helpless watching as Penn State starts piling up some points. Late in the third, after getting that 34-0 lead, all the starters will be pulled. Luckily for you, your defense will be able to stop Paul Cianciolo, Brandon Beachum, and Collin Wagner (the kicker), and you'll be able to get through our second and third string defense enough to get a very late useless touchdown and a gift of a two point conversion to preserve what little dignity you have left after this. This will also be the first time that Joe Paterno scored over 30 points in the Horseshoe. Final score Penn State: 34 Ohio State: 8

Penn State is the best in the Big Ten when Morelli is concentrating. At times he seems to forget where he is or what he is doing. Hope JoePa can wake him up before league play.
This will probably help PSU be the best in the Big Ten.
"Badgers sophomore running back Lance Smith will not travel or compete in this season’s five regular- season away games, Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez and Dean of Students Lori Berquam announced Wednesday.
Smith will miss games at UNLV, Illinois, Penn State, Ohio State and Minnesota as resolution of a non-academic misconduct case pending against him for a July incident.

PSU beating ND, who can't score on offense at all, isn't that cool. Penn St. will face a Ohio St. team out for revenge, that will be tough. Penn State is maybe the best team in the Big 10, I think they end up the best team in the Big 10, but it's way too early to say probably the best team in the Big 10. Don't write Wisconsin off, they are tough at home.

No it is not safe to say that. Ohio State will win the Big Ten, again. OSU has the best D, and they have plenty of talent on O, it just hasn't quite gelled yet. By the time they go to Crappy Valley, PSU's D will be greatly tested and fail. Wisky at the 'Shoe, and doesn't the Big House seem to be a welcoming place for visitors to play this year?! Washington will be their toughest game all year. Remember OSU won a national title with a dominant D and a so-so O. Welcome back to Tresselball and another shot at the title.

Ha ha ha! Penn State is considered an embarrassment, or like a disease to the Big 10. the Big 10 was the most dominant, the most respected conference until Penn State joined!

No, it's not. Especially since we haven't seen Penn State play a team that could compete in a Pop Warner league yet.

I'd say Penn State or Ohio State, but if Michigan turns it around, they've got alot of talent.

I think they have the best chance so far. After they beat Wisconsin then they declare themselves conference champs. There is no other team in the big ten to compete with them.

No, when i comes to Big Ten football, non-conference games are irrelevant. It's when they start knocking heads against each other that constitutes the true test. I think you'll need to wait a bit before you pass judgment.
I think JoePa would agree.
