A lot of interest in modern philosophy in in the area of bioethics. Now that genetic engineering, synthetic organs, xenogenic transplants and cloning are possible, a whole new field of thought has opened up that was completely inconceivable (or at least unconceived) prior to about the 1970's.

the dark Ages, end of the world stuff i keep hearing from the young people at this site...monsters and death and fear...or are these cliches?
Maybe the decline of civilization once again...
Or how it feels to be a kid in an age when all the toys keep getting recalled.
Or how survival of the fittest is working these days.
Or the big corporations, are they at all ethical?
I actually don't know, not being that kind of professor.
