Variations in weather. It's the same with every season. Everyone expects snow in winter (it snowed here on Christmas Day 2005 - but strangely many locals don't remember it) or sunshine and showers in spring. The UK has a temperate climate so we get a fair amount of rain. It's not known as the "good old British weather" because of one bad summer.

I know, I live in Cheltenham, so have seen a lot of people and businesses devestated by the weather this 'summer', quite apart from being dissappointed about the lack of opportunity to spend time outside and get a tan. And now the autumn/ winter clothes are in the shops and I didn't get a chance to wear my summer stuff yet, it makes me feel like I missed something.

Feel sorry for you that you did not get the summer you anticipated. The Gulf stream was not kind to you this year. But you must admit that your winters are quite nice compared to here in the US. Your climate is generally more moderate than most places in the world. I would think you fortunate.

Dear,
UK is better than other countries,
do you know that the sun rise in Denmark at night. do you know that they making a fake sun so they can continue there life smoothly.
Or about Gulf that they don't have winter at all.
you know what...., I'm thanking god every day that I'm from Egypt coz we have here all the 4 seasons, and we can enjoy each separately. you should come here one day.
So you have to be thankful for what you have, this is the satisfaction.

Guess this whole global warming thing doesn't involve the UK. Must be for other parts of the world, that's another "inconvenient truth."
