I only wear flip flops in public or shared showers.
I think that to wear flip flops in public other than to the beach or public pool is rather trashy.
For instance, to go to the store in flip flops is low brow. At least wear good sandals, like alpargatas or espadrilles. And wear socks when going some places, like the DFACS and church.

...And then, a recent TV news report that says they offer no support like a good shoes, and kill your feet, made me realize that all the people who wear them have no clue about foot health. (Did you know a decent pair of shoes absorb a lot of the shock on feet, of walking? That's the main reason we wear them, other than for warmth in winter and protection from broken glass and sharp rocks.)

Yes I have blue ones now wear them when cutting the grass and washing the car saves my normal footwear from being drenched.

Yes, that's all I wear in the warmer months. Although I've been hearing lately that they're not good for your feet.

Never. Why some people would want a piece of plastic, rubber, or leather between their toes is beyond me. Tried on a pair once... VERY UNCOMFORTABLE... Never again.
