or have the seasons changed in other parts of the world too? I no longer feel we have a definite, spring summer autumn winter - they sort of all merge into one?

The only way I know about the US weather is checking with the weather news on the internet (and comparing there). I think it has become one degree hotter than in the past. Here in FL it's subtropical and as far back as I can remember there has only been two seasons These days it's one season (summer) and a smidgeon of winter (these years it's a few weeks of cold).

A few areas of the country I think they "would like to call it" monsoon season, and I don't know if they have considered calling some areas as arid yet or not but that has not become a season.

I understand that the seasons have changed because of the smog (dark) clouds that are covering the world now (from the burning of oil, coal and gasoline), while simultaneously, and above that layer of dark and heavy clouds the sun getting hotter.

I've worked outside for the past 20 years (I'm a gardener) and while the weather has sometimes been very erratic, the climate is the same - the seasons haven't changed that much, it's just variations in weather.

Today where I live is very warm and sunny - it reminds me of the Famous Five books I read as a kid when September was always "glorious" and they were written fifty years ago - so no change there then.

I'm not sure....I do feel that the summers here in wisconsin are hotter and more humid and unbearable than i remember as a kid and also that winter comes much later than it did when i was a kid. I can remember having a good layer of snow on the ground by Thanksgiving....now I can't even be sure we'll have a light dusting of snow by Christmas....thats depressing.

I'm in Scotland and it feels like we skipped autumn and went straight to winter and never had much of a summer either. It's crap.
