I haven't seen her for six years now. She was my best friend in elementary and I really want to contact her. How would it seem if I just phoned her out of the blue?

This happened to me very recently. I received a letter from a friend I hadn't heard from since I moved away almost 20 years ago. She gave me her e-mail address in the letter she wrote me so I e-mailed her immediately to say how thrilled I was that she had written. Now we have a telephone appointment for tomorrow evening. I can't wait. It is always so much fun to get news from an old friend. I would advise, however, that if you have your friend's home address, that you write to her instead of calling. This will give her some time to adjust to the surprise. However, if all you have is a telephone number, then go for it.

Yes. I didn't reconnect w/ an old friend of mine & then he came to me in a dream & I looked him up online & found out he had died this summer in a car crash. Don't wait times too short. Don't let this happen to you. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ajf7cBVkxgOVlN0G6GEeT8Hsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070907192035AAbK3Ak
