Right O.K, so lets say God created every thing...so does that mean he created evil? some people say people are evil because they don't have God's love in their hearts...so does that mean that all those people who aren't religious..."Evil." But if evil didn't exist than what would define Good.. and that would mean every thing we did...incuding murder - would be good??? What do u think?

God gave us free will and he gave us the power to cause things to happen. Evil is turning away and refusing God's love and walking away from God.

That's assuming that any farsighted religion on this planet actually has "God" figured out. I believe that humans are a contradiction. Evil is one end of a spectrum, good another. You don't just exist in one end or the other. No person is one thing and not the other. Just because I don't kill people doesn't mean I'm good. If I help an old lady across the street that doesn't mean I'm not evil. That's like trying to define what right and wrong are. It's subject to interpretation. Stop resisting your nature, stop trying to find a scapegoat for what you don't like about your nature. It's always your choice as to who or what you are.

Evil is the privation of the good. It exists in the same way a cavity exists in one's tooth. Therefore if some says that they are evil or if another person is evil, they are speaking in hyperbole. As long as something exists, it is not wholly or completely evil. The good is a transcendental reality and is therefore not conditioned by evil-- the good is what it is without what is evil. Evil need not exist for the good to be what it is. However, this is not the case for what is evil-- evil is parasitic on what is good. Inasmuch as this is true, evil is not a necessary reality, rather it is contingent.

Good and Evil are not different in nature they are different in Degree.
Every one is striving for the freedom ultimate or call it GOD.
So when we become ego centered and when we think about ourselves as an individual separate from others we become selfish and do evil things.
But when we become centered in Consciousness and when we think ourselves as a part of the whole existence we become ego less and become unselfish and will not act for selfish things and that is called good.
So GOD is the thread that is running through all beings so he is the commonality so when we believe in GOD and work towards him our ego gets destroyed and we do Good things.
GOD is the Oneness.
As this cannot be understood by people ordinarily we say Good is Towards GOD and Evil is away from GOD.
It is absolutely right.
Just reverse it and see
Towards Oneness(Good) you are near to GOD(Oneness)
Towards Duality(Evil) you are away from GOD(No Oneness)

No how can a murder be good.
If a murder is committed he is not spiritual or religious he is fanatic he is lost in selfishness.
If a person knows everything is a part of GOD how can you even hurt it?
When we Go to extremes things look alike but never try to adopt these things sitting at normal plane.

God Bless you.

There are some things, I think, that just exist. If you agree that God exists, then there is also an opposite, whatever you call it. If good exists, and you'd be hard pressed to say it does not, then its opposite also exists; some call it evil.

So God didn't create evil, but he created free will--every being's right to choose between good and evil. A lot of people who choose good are harmed by people who choose bad. But to take away anybody's free will--even those who choose evil--would be to turn us into puppets--spiritual zombies. God wants people to love him because they want to, not because they have no choice.

The Bible actually says, God is love, so if you don't know love, you don't know God. Also, know that religious is not necessarily good. I've known a lot of religious people--and the Bible is full of them--who are not good. Churches--better thought of as hospitals for the spiritually ill--are also full of them as they should be. Church is a place to recover and become better, not a place for perfect people to be. Sometimes people forget that.

By the way, anybody who says following God is boring hasn't tried it for very long.

I think man created right and wrong, as and when necessary, according to the time and situation - then he/she also labelled things as Evil and not.
In a holy war or other wars the winners consider their actions good and the actions of the opponents Evil.
For example: Slavery was not considered Evil or bad at one time.
Votes for women and even for the coloreds were not allowed at one time and they were considered Evil.
Some countries and states are doing away capital punishment which was not considered evil at one time.

Everything has an opposite. Evil is the opposite of good. Man himself creates evil. We do have people around us that I do not believe have a soul, to me they are evil, they have no conscience, nothing bothers them, they are just empty.

God did'nt create evil, when he got mad at satan ( who was an angel at one point) and sent him to a bad place a.k.a. hell.

So satan created it, I guess.

And people without God are not evil, they can be very nice and kind (most of the time they are). People just like to steriotype.

And theyre was no evil until Adam and Eve ate the apple. So if they have never ate it theyre would be no evil and if it didnt exist theyre woulnt be murder.

The concept of "evil" in this age of moral relativism is slippery and ambiguous. The "Oxford Companion to Philosophy" (Oxford University Press, 1995) defines it thus: "The suffering which results from morally wrong human choices."

EVIL DOESN'T EXIST. It is just the absence of God in ourselves. People commit sin because they don't have the presence of God in their lives. If they truly believe in God, they will not be tempted to do evil things such as committing sins. God gave us the freedom to choose what we want to do: we can control our own lives. But if we want to believe and trust God, we should refuse the greatest tyrant which is sin, and we must avoid evil.

God didn't create evil... in theory Satan did. Satan used to be one of God's top angels until he decided to become as powerful as God and gathered an army to try and take Heaven for himself. Because of this God sent him down from Heaven and thats what we now know as evil - anywhere away from God is evil. You are right, there needs to be evil for good to be recognised...
