Toto got to be with the person he loves most in the world~Dorothy. Think about it: They defend each other, console each other, and are rarely far apart.

The next time that you watch the film, keep track of Toto. It's a completely different movie when you watch the dog.

By the way, Toto's real name was Terry, and he was actually a she~a reverse Lassie! This cairn terrier was in a number of MGM films, including one in which she co-starred with Spencer Tracy! Check out the link below for more information about this lucky pup, who was a foundling. She was left by the side of the road, but fortunately this was in front of a house where they trained animals for the movies!

Sent to the pound

As soon as Dorothy got home the crazy Lady next door came and got Toto again, just as she had before they went to Oz Auntie Em once again caved like ice cream on a hot day and Toto was dragged away to the pound. Twenty fours hour later he was gassed.

He got the love and attention he deserved: After everybody else got what they wanted; Toto was able to stop going on crazy journeys and meeting people and things that scared the crap out of him and Dorothy ~ causing him to constantly stress out out about their safety. I imagine too, that,Toto lived happily ever after along with all the other characters of OZ, taking in ours, our children's, and their children's love we have continuously had for a story and movie that became so real, inspiring and magical to all who watched it; as if they too were going on an incredible journey...awww, it was so nice and indeed was a journey...

This will hopefully bring a smile to your face..and melt your troubles like lemon drops....we do live in in that place over the rainbow; its always been all around us =)
