ok. i'm 14 years old and my mom has friends getting married and we're all going to the wedding. they are asian and there will also be a tea ceramony thing or something.
it is later this month and i have no idea what to wear to an asian wedding (is it a different tradition or something?)
my mom said i could wear my dress from last year's 8th grade semi formal...but that is silver and sparkly all over and VERY short...i deffinately do NOT want to look like a slu* going to their wedding
and is the tea ceramony also dressy? or casual?
i don't have any other dresses and my mom probably isn't going to let me buy an exspensive one becuase i'll probably never wear it again lol. so help me think of something please...something not too expensive and cute for a teenage girl?

well the guy was born in korea and my mom knows him cuz she helped him learn english when he came to america
i'm sure where the wedding actually is, but i kno when my mom told me it was some asian type of word...it was like the mong something but i'm not sure what the rest is...maybe it is a restaurant

The tea ceremony is a traditional thing where the bride and groom offer tea to their elders. Everyone else will just watch. It won't take very long, so you could just wear whatever you wear to the wedding.
But basically, the same rules apply as to any wedding. You could go with a knee-length skirt and a nice top. Depending on how traditional they are, they may not take kindly to skimpy/low-cut dresses. You could ask you mother where the wedding will be held to get an idea of how traditional or modern it will be. Is it in a church or home, or prehaps a Chinese Restaurant? Also, are the people who are getting married born in Asia or wherever it is you are (I presume America?).
As long as you look decent and not too sloppy, I think you should be fine.

ok try red or pink that would suit a tea ceremony. Usually a tea ceremony is quite formal. A great dress would be somthing made from silk and in red or pink.

Wear something long and if you can find something red that would be nice. Red signifiies good luck.
