or would I be better off with a repair manual. I looked up under general motors and looks like can't get one from them on line. Can I get one from a dealer and would it be a lot higher there? thanks for any advice.

Digital owners manuals for GM products are available (free) online.
I'll give you the link, you register & download your manual, VOILA!

Useless. Owners manuals tell you how to put gas. What bad tires look like. How to use the radio. How to use the headlights. Fuse location. If you didnt know that, then you have no business buying a repair manual to repair your chevy. Not to mention an OBD-II system.

My advice is to go to your local autoparts store or just look up chiltons on google and buy a chiltons manual they are as good or better than an origonal manual. I got a chiltons and it tells you how to repair anything in detailed instructions. If you ever have a question that it doesn't answer, ask on yahoo answers! lol

After a year there probably isn't much you don't already know about it. I will say that I bought a new one in '92 & drove it nearly a quarter million miles! GOOD CHOICE!
